Julie edwards
auditor / trainer
Julie (she/her) is librarian and educator passionate about connecting people with resources that will help them build individual and community assets. As a former public librarian, Julie’s heart is still in public libraries, which she believes are some of the most dynamic, proactive, and creative institutions we have.
Julie a Fulbright scholarship (2017-2019) to teach in the Department of Library and Information Studies at the University of Botswana and worked with colleagues in the Department of Library Services. Working with amazing undergraduate and graduate students convinced me that librarians are, and will continue, changing the world, one community at a time.
When she’s not in a library, Julie is writing and making photographs for travel and adventure publications (She Explores, Alloy + Grit, Christian Science Monitor, Overland Journal, ROVA, Travel Africa Online, SA 4x4), teaching yoga and meditation, hiking and backpacking in Montana and Utah, baking in her little house at the foot of a mountain, and worshipping her cat.
