Calenthia S. Dowdy, Ph.D. (she/her) is a cultural anthropologist and college professor. Her academic research took place in Brazil where she enjoyed the fusion of Indigenous, African, and Portuguese cultures. She is trained in anti-racism, diversity, equity & inclusion and has been a facilitator with the Roots of Justice (formerly Damascus Road) training team for 17 years.

Dr. Dowdy also works in public health with faith communities and clients dealing with trauma and the connections between body, mind, spirit and wholeness.
